PHOTO BOOK ALBUMS

An album is the perfect way to showcase your favourite images from your big day. There is something to be said about the true beauty in a printed photograph. I absolutely love seeing images in print - especially when the image is one of my own. There's something very satisfying about it and really does feel special; you can be proud of the day you created and make sure it lasts forever in an album that is carefully tailored to you and your partner.

Viewing photographs that are carefully selected and laid out in an album creates a completely different viewing experience than looking at images on a screen. I'm a big fan of photo books and believe having a beautiful quality album that you can pick up any time adds a real tangible essence to your wedding photos. In years to come, you can view it with friends and family over a cup of tea, or perhaps take over to show elderly relatives. It really is such a lovely way to look back on your day.

One thing you won't regret is investing in a professional album that is designed and made to last a lifetime.

Choosing the photos for your album

This can seem like a daunting task! When I first began photography I used to find it so hard choosing one or two images when there were hundreds I loved! Over the years I've learnt what to look for and how to create a story through selecting the right photographs. Your wedding album should tell the story of your day, so it's a good idea to pick out images from each part of the day. I.e Getting Ready, The Ceremony, Confetti, Posed Shots, Dinner, Speeches, Reception. Try to choose a mixture of candid and posed, details and people. Sometimes I like to make a page of candid shots, so I might put 8 images on one page showing your guests. This is a nice way to get lots of people into your album - without them taking up the whole thing. If you have some absolute favs then let me know - these are the images I'll pick from to have as stopper pages, often printed big over the invisible page fold.

If you're unsure of what to choose then feel free to just pick out your absolute favourites and I'll fill in the gaps. However please remember you know the guests much better than I do, so perhaps pick the images of people you know want featured. Once I've designed your album I'll send over a proof for you to make changes. I try to only send one proof, so make sure you look over it carefully and ask to change any images / layouts you're not happy with. Don't worry though, I'll make sure you're completely happy with it before sending it off for print!
